I’ve always believed that a letter is more than paper — it’s a moment set aside, a pause in the middle of an ordinary day. Rambling Letters grew out of that belief. I write from a small wooden desk on my half-acre mini homestead, where life moves at a quieter pace. Most mornings begin with coffee, a typewriter, and a page waiting to be filled.
In a world that often feels too fast and too loud, these letters are my way of tending to the slower things: stories from daily life, small observations from the garden, reflections on the turning seasons, and the steady rhythm of caring for a home. Some letters arrive handwritten, others typed on my old manual typewriter, depending on what the day calls for. Frequently, a small find slips into the envelope — a bit of journal fodder, a scrap saved from a walk or a project — something that supports the story inside.
These letters aren’t about mass production or polished perfection. It’s about making space for connection in an old-fashioned, honest way. Each letter is written by me, folded by hand, and sent off from my writing desk to your mailbox, with the hope that it brings a small moment of quiet to your day.
Thank you for supporting this small, simple corner of my life.
And thank you for still lingering over letters.
